Hi all!
The latest Battletome has been released, with some new and shiny warsrolls!
This faction is for anyone who likes summoning new units, and making those units swell in numbers.
I'm not sure how I feel about this pseudo-summoning abilities though - they can't be stopped by unbinding and therefor unfortunately brings the cost of each hero up by alot.
All these new warscrolls will be in the Death list once the update hits (aiming for this Wednesday!).
Here are the point costs for all the new warscrolls in the book:
Abhorrant Ghoul King
250 pts
Abhorrant Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon
680 pts
Abhorrant Ghoul King on Terrorgheist
730 pts
Varghulf Courtier
320 pts
Crypt Haunter Courtier
230 pts.
Crypt Infernal Courtier
265 pts.
Crypt Ghast Courtier
110 pts
3 Crypt Flayers 165 pts
- Additional Models 55 pts.
- Upgrade to Crypt Infernal 10 pts.
- Upgrade to Crypt Infernal 10 pts.
10 Crypt Ghouls
Same as before.
3 Crypt Horrors 145 pts
- Additional Models 48 pts.
- Upgrade to Crypt Haunter 10 pts.
- Upgrade to Crypt Haunter 10 pts.
Terrorgheist
430 pts
Zombie Dragon
370 pts
I also was concerned about those abilities at first, but breaking it down they aren't so bad (it looks like you priced them well, btw). The average points they summon in a round is low, and they have to summon into an existing unit within a shorter range.
ReplyDeleteTrue, I just wish it wasn't a mandatory abilitiy :)
DeleteYeah that'd be nice. Maybe if we ever get around to command ability pricing that will help with the Ghoul Kings at least.
ReplyDelete60 point increase in the terrorgheist? Did it change that much?
ReplyDeleteIt didn't change much, but it still gained:
Delete- About +17% better damage.
- Slightly worse but more reliable scream damage.
- +1 to it's armour save (this brings the cost up)
- Different but pretty much the same healing powers. Although any healing power makes the cost raise alongside better armour saves.
So in the end, I do think the changes warrant the 60 pts. But this is just new stats from the formula and same ability cost as the old model so there's no testing involved. I gotta say many of the Flesh-Eaters, although cool, makes me alittle sad as I want them in my Death army but think many of them become too situational for me to use much.
